noir blog

film noir was a very interesting unit i didnt even know it was such a thing before this class so i found it new and exciting. we started out with out of the past which was a very classic film noir. it fits the mold in every way. the femme fatale was second to none she was very pretty and sudctive but she will stab u in the back when ever she got the oppertunity. the main character (i forgot his name) was the classic hard-boiled detective. he was very smooth good at his job while easily sudduced by women. it was set in the time period which was a huge part of the genre. it was set in late to early 30s and 40s. during the great depression and start of war. then we went to kiss me deadly which on a personal note wasnt the best movie i have ever seen. but it was a good film noir it had a femme fatale in that blonde "roommate" who was very tricky i didnt even think she was gonna turn out to the femme fatale. she gain mike hammers trust till he led her to the box then ditched him. mike hammer was a very good hard boiled detective not as good as the guy from oput of the past but a close second and his name is the coolest thing ever. but he was less easily suduced but still got trick by the lady. and the ending of that movie was the worst ive seen no offense to anybody who liked it but this is my blog so i can say wat i want. and the last movie we viewed was great but probs the least film noir of the three it wasnt based in the time period and was in color. so i dont know how noir it really was but plot wise and just based off overall enjoyment it was my favorite. however there was a femme fatale in evelen and gities was a good hard boiled detective who was played great by a young jack nicholus or however u spell it but overall i enjoyed the film noir unit cause it was a new thinng and i was very curious. NOIR IS SWEEEEET!
